Black Brian Jones hair cuts, black leather vests and pants, one black glove... recorded one of the purest blasts of unadulterated Rock'n'Roll ever with their single, "Talk Talk" which clocked in at a neat 1 minute and fifty nine seconds, The Music machine, led by singer/guitarist Sean Boniwell, were one of the grandfathers of punk rock. Their albums... I think there are only three tops... I KNOW there are two, are hit and miss affairs. They go back and forth between inane covers and sappy stuff, but the hits, oh boy, are they good. As menacing as any band sounded before or since, songs like "Evil Never Hunts The Fly," Journey To The Bottom Of The Soul" and "Double Yellow Line" absolutely kick the proverbial ass.
PLUS... and this is no mean feat, their version of "Hey Joe," just might be my favorite!
